There are far fewer regulatory and structural barriers than you think to starting a new education program. With a small amount of money and a lot of hard work, entrepreneurs with vision and facility with the liberal arts can create something excellent.
Our thesis is that graduates of Great Books schools like St. John’s College and Thomas Aquinas College are the perfect people to build new things in education because they have the taste and knowledge to be education “armies of one” who can teach all subjects in the programs they create.
We are recruiting a first cohort of aspiring founders who have big ideas about doing education on a small scale. Don’t go to grad school or get stuck in a teaching job where you have limited control over how, what, and whom you teach. Start something of your own.
What we offer:
- Free one-on-one coaching, consulting, and mentorship to go from idea to opening.
- Connection to peers pursuing similar projects.
- Open book on reading lists, curricula, and classroom approaches that have been successful for existing programs.
- Regular office hours.
We do not currently offer grants or startup funding.
